Cooks Beach - a new discovery

A dream, and unexpected! It happened when we made use of the fact that we had to pick up some of our e-bikes from Hot Water Beach. We thought, actually, we have never visited Cook's Beach... Cook's Beach is nice, really, but not spectacular. But when we walked to the end where the usual freshwater creek disembogues into the sea, we discovered the walkway to Lonely Bay, which indeed is really spectacular with its lime sandstone cliffs!
If you don't like seeing other tourists (doesn't bother me though), and want to visit a beach which equals Cathedral Cove or New Chums beach - this is definitely an option.

Miranda again, this strange and quiet place

This time we went to Miranda to get some shells to cover the soil on the new stairs down to the guest appartment. We were again fascinated by the tranquile athmosphere of the place.
The pictures, taken with my cellphone, do unfortunalely not reflect the real charme of the mix between turquoise, beige, white, blue and green, and the scenery looks much more grey and veiled as it was in reality.
I have yet not photoshopped them to a more realistic impression. Maybe later.

By the way: on the 14th September it was 5 years ago that we arrived in NZ as a family, and one week later we were standing on this very Miranda Coast shore on our first way to Thames and watching this rainbow pointing to Thames, knowing that God is already there, waiting for us to got His way with us there.
