A relaxed afternoon at Waiomu Beach - with Lucas, Daniel and Elena. Thanks to the Waiomu Beach Cafe who grilled our patties for a small donation as the public BBQ was not working...

Neuseeländische Jagdart: Pipi and Crockle Hunting (eßbare Muscheln, sehr lecker)

Pipi hunting - a nice autumn sport - we did that recently for the first time. We found only two living pipis, the rest were crockles, which taste even better, very mild. A good place is Te Mata coast, and we were not alone... apart from a few other humans, hundreds of birds: oystercatcher and seagulls.
