A real Kiwi event is the annual Beach Hop in Whangamata, where Kiwis celebrate their love for oldtimers, with emphasis on the glorious 1950ies.
It is a relaxed show-off with mostly American cars of the Rock'n Roll era, and some Dragsters and Harley-style motorcycles. Today there was also a subshow of old caravans.
We had a look and enjoyed the chrome and industrial baroque.
